Thrive Summer PopUps offers fun and learning for Teens this June

Summer PopUps Nights for teens is unlike any opportunity currently offered in Lake County. The 2024  series offers over 20 different activities tailored just for teens and will be held on the evenings of June 4th  and 11th  in Downtown Clermont and June 20th at Lake David Park in Groveland. This is the eighth year that Thrive’s Summer PopUps have been offered to teens and this year brings back many favorites topics as well as adding new activities for students ages 13-18.

“This unique program offers teens a fun environment to acquire new skills and explore new hobbies while safely socializing,” says Thrive founder, Sheri Lewin. “We have witnessed the magic that happens when teens can meet others with similar interests. These small group activities reduce isolation and stoke student curiosity which increases confidence and this can change a teens trajectory.  Empowering Teens is what Thrive Clermont is all about and our Summer PopUps are a fun and effective way to advance teens by offering students safe opportunities to explore new topics and skills and meet new people.”

Each Summer PopUps Night has a dozen different activities designed with teens in mind. Each topic is led by a local professional, business owner, or community leader. 2024 Summer PopUps topics include: Fishing, Chess, Trail Skating, Spice Blending, Photography, Crochet, Robotics and 15 more topics!  Any student from any school is invited. Registration is required and space is limited. The registration fee is $10 and includes the activity of choice plus dinner and prizes.  Fee waivers are available for any student needing help.  All details on topics offered by night, fee waiver applications, and registration can be found at www.thriveclermont.org . Any questions can be sent to admin@thriveclermont.org or call 352-394-1125.
